Facelift of coin operated laundry

The coin operated laundry is going under bigger change and revolution. It is no longer dingy, unsafe, boring place that customers endure on weekly basis. Now Laundromats are becoming fun and attractive multiservice centers. Laundromats are now equipped with Television, Wi-Fi and play area for small kids. "The industry is now getting a facelift," says Brian Wallace, president and CEO of the Coin Laundry Association, a national association for self-service laundry owners.

Coin operated laundry has snack bar, pick and delivery service and video games.  Some of them even don’t use coins instead they ask to swipe cards which will collect the cost from linked bank or mobile money. Many owners hire staff to keep an eye on customer to help and assist them in need.

The coin operated laundry industry is changing in response to several trends impacting the industry and business. First of them is trying to make balance between demands of short time in our daily life. Laundry owners are capitalizing on this reality by offering their customers time-saving convenience in the form of wash-and-fold (drop-off service) and dry-cleaning service.

In addition, owners have realized that they can maximize their profits by providing customers with access to multiple services. Since they're paying a set amount of rent on their commercial space, they might as well use that space to its fullest potential.
